100% CANADIAN WOOL DUVET - 4 SEASONS - Made in Canada

$299.00–$459.00

Wool is one of the best natural materials for bedding.

Wool has excellent insulating properties that will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. This is also great for couples with different sleep temperature preferences as a wool comforter and wool mattress pad moderates these differences, leaving both partners comfortable.

Wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in water without feeling damp, making it comfortable to sleep under for all users even in extremely humid conditions. This is excellent for users who sweat a lot during the night or who are living in humid climates. Our wool comforters, mattress pads, and pillows are covered in light and breathable 100% Cotton and we recommend using a 100% Cotton duvet cover and sheets with them. Wool has the unique quality of being resistant to fire, water, static giving it exceptional durability and providing the highest level of safety to its user.

    Caring for wool

    Sun Bleaching

For wool-fill bedding, sun-bleaching is a good, simple practice to keep your bedding sterile and fresh. Sun bleaching every few months reduces the need for washing. Simply remove duvet cover and lay it out in a clean, sunny spot outside for a few hours. Make sure both sides receive direct sunlight. The sun's powerful energy will sanitize your bedding and the outside air will freshen it up

    Washing

When washing wool products, the important thing is not to agitate the wool, as this causes the fibers to mat together and shrink. Soaking and spinning, though, are fine.

The following items can be washed in a top-loading washing machine by following our simple wash instructions:

Wash Instructions for Top-Loading Washing Machines

    1. Fill your machine with warm water and soap appropriate for wool. We recommend Eucalan soap
    2. Agitate the water to dissolve the soap.
    3. Stop the machine and add your wool.
    4. Plunge gently up and down by hand to clean.
    5. Let soak for about 15 minutes.
    6. Set machine to spin allowing the machine to spin out the soapy water.
    7. Fill your machine again with warm water to rinse.
    8. Stop the machine (do not allow it to agitate the wool).
    9. Plunge gently up and down by hand to rinse.
    10. Let soak for 15 minutes.
    11. Set machine to spin and turn it on, allowing the machine to spin out the rinse water.
    12. Stop the machine (do not allow it to agitate the wool).
    13. Hang to dry.
    14. Just remember... DO NOTagitate the wool!
